It has been a while

As I was looking through my pictures on my phone, I realized it has been nearly forever since I wrote anything on this page.  It is much easier and quicker to post thoughts and images to Facebook.  But this page has a greater value to me and hopefully others.

We have had so many, many Grand View moments this year.  May and June were gorgeous.  Donnie got some fishing in.  No record lunkers this year, but the year is not over yet!

In July we gathered to celebrate Donnie's 60th six months late.  It was a very warm day, but we all had a great time.  All the family was home, so we had many little fishing rods and reels being tested.  Luckily, no one got caught, except the fish.  We were so blessed to have such a great gathering of friends there too.  And the bonfire was perfect both nights;  plenty of S'mores to top off the day.

The barn was put to rest this year.  Although we miss seeing its character and the landmark it was, we do appreciate the view even more.  We can literally see for miles and miles and the sunsets  are the best part of the day.  Everything is so calm and settled.

Grand View welcomed its first overseas visitors when Steve and Sharon brought  their German family, Karin and Mika for a visit.  Mika (14) had many firsts that day.  Driving and shooting to mention two.  He is such a neat teenager and his mother is a sweetie.  We hope they can come back and bring the other half of the family, too.

Here are some pictures from the months gone by.  Grand View is a great place to be, physically and mentally.  Give us a shout and come share the view.
