The farm is alive and well. I apologize for the skewed view on a couple of these, but what is life without a couple of challenges?
Donnie and I ran away to Grand View today. We found it welcoming, restful, and left lots of odd jobs undone. Donnie accomplished more than I did, but that is because he had an agenda. I had two things planned - the puzzle and a nap. I accomplished both of those AND finished a book.
I usually take a view of the western sky, but today the eastern sky could not be ignored! The rain had soaked in and the clouds moved away. It was beautiful! Lavender and yellow were popping up in the flower beds - grape hyacinth, violets, and daffodils. The gooseberry bush is blooming, so I hope we will avoid a frost and get to enjoy a tart or pie.
Plans are underway for the barn to disappear. The winter and wind were very hard on the weak structure. It's bones had held it for many years, but it is time for it to rest. Renewal is the soul of the farm. Does my soul good to see the changes.
The puzzle is coming along nicely, much faster than the last one - thank heaven!
Come join us, the view is grand for the soul!
