Memorial Day

This post seems a little tardy. I apologize to all of you avid fans:)

Although the weather was not perfect for Memorial Day weekend, we managed to sneak in two fires, some fishing, some cribbage, naps all around, plenty of food, and memorable time with great friends, Steve and Sharon. There were a couple of odd jobs completed, including a new bed set for the Popeye room and a room divider for the hall. Little by little we are getting things up to snuff for more visitors.
Nancy, Mark and Mick snuck in before we got there. Sorry we missed them, but glad their key still works!

We also did tons of remembering. It started with the remote on the ceiling fan not working. Those of you who are family members will realize Dorothy was in control. We do have a new remote, but haven't tried it yet. Hopefully, it won't be possessed.

And, we not only finished a puzzle and started and finished another. Pictures will follow later.

We also made trips to the cemeteries to decorate our parents graves. Every time I go, I hope they realize how much they are still loved and missed and how much they gave us. Where would we be without their love, guidance, and support. It leaves quite big foot prints for me to try and fill.

Another bit of news, we have goslings on the pond! Many thanks to Mr. Hansen and Donnie. Three total and one egg left in the nest. They are so cute and I do have a picture of them, but of course it is not downloaded. I will leave you with a couple of pictures.

Enjoy the Grand View!
