Memorial Day Weekend

These pictures span about a month.  The Kennedys were home at the end of April and we spent the day at Grand View.  The second picture tells you how good Steve thought the farm was.  He was passed out within 3 minutes after we left.  An Evan thought everything was great, stairs included.  We added two lilac bushes, a pussy willow bush, and a Kentucky Coffee bean tree, named Abe.  Lucky, the apple tree, looks great and is promising he will give us more than just one apple this fall.

The barn is finally fading, piece by piece.  You can literally see the future through the 100 year old barn.  It's sad in many ways, but is of no use or value the way it was.

I just spent a very quiet Memorial Day weekend at the farm.  I enjoyed rolls from the bakery, spent some time on the deck, read a little, watched 4 movies and slept.  I can say that everything about the farm was renewing.  Doing nothing once in a while is so good for your soul.  Mine is singing tonight.

Hope all is well in your world and the view is Grand for you!  Summer is upon us.  Go and enjoy!
