January 2012 already?

Seems the holidays always take our "farm time" away, so it was sweet to be able to spend Friday night and Saturday getting our batteries recharged and focus defined.

We truly were bums, as we started with a great meal in Carbon, visited with friends and then settled in for a quiet evening of 3-channel TV. It was refreshing:)

Even Donnie slept in on Saturday and then spoiled me with great coffee and rolls from the bakery for breakfast. They have such great pastries. The name is Sweet Desires and you should check it out! The puzzle demanded Donnie's attention and of the 1500 pieces he got the border put together. (and a few other pieces) It is BIG puzzle and he picked it, so it might be fall before it is done. Reminds me of how big life looks sometimes, but all the pieces fit together!

Of course, we went to the Fickle Frog and found a couple of treasurers and also checked out Antiques on Main. That is an interesting place. FULL of stuff - every kind.

We had frozen pizza for lunch and soft pillows and blankets for dessert. I told you we were bums. It was a wonderful time. The farm was in fine shape. Donnie had to adjust the snow fence a bit and we vacuumed and dusted. So the house got a little TLC and so did we!

The view off the deck was white and calm; totally grand, as always.
