I'm always surprised by how fast the summer seems to slip away. Thank heaven this summer didn't disappoint me! It has been so much fun and I keep telling myself that we were fishing in light jackets the end of last October - to there is much more fun to be had.
We've spent some work time at the farm lately, anticipating a fun Labor Day Weekend. We have the kindling piled high and Donnie will talk very sweetly to the chain saw so we can have the big stuff too. I told him to get the chainsaw tuned up and he said the problem probably lies in the fact that he used it under water! Can't argue with that.
We have given more perennials a home at the farm and transplanted a red bud tree. The poor think looks VERY sad now, but I have faith it will come back full strength next year. :)
Even though we haven't been able to run to the farm as much as we would like to (every weekend) the memories refresh us and keeping us looking forward to the grand view.
Come join us!
