Help Wanted.
After a quick trip to the farm on Sunday, we are now taking applications for a boatman. The goose island nest has disappeared, so there will, no doubt, be a misson planned to replace it. Speaking from experience, it is a two-person mission, and this person will not be participating. I have learned my lesson. If you are interested, please contact Donnie so he can get the equipment lined up - boat, one oar, sledge hammer, two large heavy iron rods, tool box, 2 X 6, and no life jackets. It is an adventure - so PLEASE consider it!
The farm was great and the frogs were in full chorus. Donnie says that means it is time to fish. But we got the motorcycle out and took a little ride and he rode the lawn mower around to make sure it would start. And of course the puzzle got a few pieces in it.
We found a spot to put the sweet peas in the ground and picked out a place that will be perfect for holly hocks. We do have some asparagas that we would like to start down there, but I'm not sure where to put it.
We opted for a chicken from Hy-Vee for supper and enjoyed sitting and looking out the windows - always a grand view!
