We headed to the farm this afternoon. I had two things planned - a nap and finishing the puzzel. Check both of those off my list. Donnie had two things on his list - a nap and fishing. He had a short snooze but took care of a nasty weed patch instead of fishing. We are headed down again Labor Day Weekend. Stop by if you're in Southwest Iowa. Good times guaranteed - I might even cook!
The farm continues to evolve - seems to make us grow with it. The pile of rocks will eventually become a fire pit with a grand view to the Southwest. I've been looking for a branch to hang a swing. The flower beds are morphing into their own space. There is only one that seems to require extra attention. I think I'll have a small chat with it the next time around. It has to hold up its end of the deal.
You can decide from the looks of the caterpillar what our winter is going to be. Let me know. I just assume winter will be twice as long as summer. Thus, our busy summer schedule.
But the farm is a great place to renew no matter what season. Enjoy.
